The University of Michigan Museum of Art (UMMA) is a 93,000 square-foot facility located at the heart of campus. UMMA features a variety of both spacious and intimate upshot spaces for catered receptions, wedding ceremonies, entertainment, pupil events, multimedia presentations, corporate events and more. There are a number of diverse spaces available in the Museum's Alumni Memorial Hall and the Maxine and Stuart Frankel and the Frankel Family Wing.

Availability

UMMA's spaces are available for events beginning no earlier than five:30 pm on weekday and weekend evenings except Mondays. In improver, the Commons and Multi-Purpose Room are bachelor during daytime hours. Room Descriptions

Lizzie and Jonathan Tisch Apse

The elegant composure of the Lizzie and Jonathan Tisch Alcove makes it an ideal location for dancing, dinner, or a big reception. Helmut Stern Auditorium

If you are looking for a facility to hold a performance, lecture, or symposium, UMMA's auditorium is both comfortable and beautiful. This space can accommodate 185 guests and can meet your A/5 needs. Technical support must be provided by LSA-ISS. No nutrient or drink is permitted in the auditorium. No admission may be charged for events in this space. They must exist free to all attendees.

Available for rental:

• Monday–Friday: 5:thirty pm through midnight
  (earlier availability may be possible due to course schedules)
• Saturday–Sunday: 8:00 am through x pm
• Rental of this space requires A/V support from LSA-ISS with additional charges.

Seminar Room

For the smallest of groups, UMMA's Classroom is great for minor lectures, forums or meetings. The room comes equipped with A/Five capabilities, moveable tables and chairs, and a whiteboard. No food or drink is immune in the Classroom and maximum capacity is 30.

Bachelor for rental:

• Monday–Thursday: v:30 pm through midnight
• Fri–Sunday: 8:00 am through x pm
• Friday: 8:00 am through midnight

Forum

The Forum is a modern space with natural light and a wonderful space for events. It is located in the Frankel Family Wing next to the Museum Store. The Forum can agree up to 100 guests for seated dinners and upward to 175 guests for standing receptions.

Bachelor for rental:

• Monday: eight:00 am through midnight
• Tuesday–Sunday: 5:30 pm through midnight

Multi-purpose Room

Housed in the Maxine and Stuart Frankel and the Frankel Family Wing of the building the Multi-Purpose Room is a well-baked, gimmicky space great for individual meetings or intimate functions and tin conform as many equally 60 guests for seated dinners and 100 for continuing receptions.

Galleries

Alcohol Policy

UMMA has a strict policy regarding serving alcoholic beverages and must comply with all rules and regulations of the State of Michigan'due south Liquor Control Commission. Merely beer and wine are allowed.
